JOB OVERVIEW:

The Painter/ Maintenance is responsible for performing a variety of painting and general maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of the facility/ property. This role requires a skilled individual with experience in painting techniques, as well as basic maintenance skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Proven experience as a painter and maintenance technician
• Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials
• Ability to prepare surfaces and apply paint effectively
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Ability to work in confined spaces

Painting:

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching holes.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
• Perform touch-up painting and repairs as needed.
• Maintain painting equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper ventilation during painting operations.

General Maintenance:

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to minor carpentry repairs, basic plumbing repairs, minor electrical repairs, maintenance of grounds and exterior areas, and HVAC filter changes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Ensure all work areas are kept clean and safe.

Customer Service:

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of maintenance issues.

Safety:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
