The Painter/Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining overall appearance safety and functionality of the building by performing drywall repairs, painting, preventative maintenance, and ensures guest units or building areas are ready prior to arrivals. *Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver's License (or ability to obtain one) and an acceptable driving record* Essential duties and tasks of the position include but are not limited: Perform drywall repairs including patching, sanding, finishing, and texture matching. Prepare surfaces and apply paint, stain, and coatings to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and exterior surfaces. Complete touch-up painting in guest rooms, common areas, hallways, and exterior building areas. Inspect owners/guest rooms or units prior to arrivals to ensure readiness and quality standards are met. Identify and address minor maintenance issues during arrival checks. Perform routine building maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and fixture repairs. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition. Follow safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Respond to work orders and guest service calls in a timely and professional manner. Assist with preventative maintenance programs as assigned. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations. Wilderness Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer
