Description Position Overview: 1st Choice Collision is looking to add a Collision Paint Technician who is self-motivated and has high personal goals and objectives to our family. We are looking for a skilled Paint Technician to work on vehicles in a fast-paced auto body shop environment. As a Collision Paint Technician, you'll perform vehicle refinishing as assigned in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards. 1st Choice Collision uses industry leading production process that result in additional workflow for the technician allowing for greater opportunity to earn more money. Position Duties: Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair and status Performs quality refinishing while keeping on-time status in mind Performing work as outlined on repair orders Operating all equipment in the paint department in a safe and productive manner Following Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, respirator) while working in the paint department Inspecting all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed Mixing all chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications Requirements Qualifications/Experience: I-CAR Certification preferred (will help obtain if you do not) Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer (OEM Certified Preferred) Must be able to operate a vehicle legally Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude Strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
Responsibilities
The Collision Paint Technician will perform vehicle refinishing as assigned and ensure quality work while maintaining on-time status. They will also communicate with others regarding vehicle repair and inspect completed jobs as a quality control measure.
