POSITION OVERVIEW

The Painting Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating painting works across signage, metal, wood, and interior fit-out projects. This role ensures high-quality finishes, adherence to specifications, and timely project delivery while maintaining strict safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Diploma / Technical Certification in Painting, Civil, or related trade.
  • 5–7 years of painting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/foreman role (preferably in signage or interior projects).
  • Strong knowledge of paints, primers, coatings, and application techniques.
  • Experience with automotive-grade and industrial painting (advantageous for signage/metal works).
  • Ability to read finish schedules and project specifications.
  • Skilled in achieving high-quality finishes with attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of painters for signage, metal, and interior painting works.
  • Review project requirements, drawings, and specifications to plan and allocate tasks.
  • Oversee surface preparation, priming, masking, and finishing processes.
  • Ensure proper paint mixing, color matching, and application using brush, roller, or spray techniques.
  • Monitor quality of finished products to meet company and client expectations.
  • Manage daily workforce allocation, materials usage, and tool requirements.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and other foremen for smooth execution.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to standards.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to painters on application methods and safe work practices.
  • Enforce compliance with HSE rules, ensuring the safe handling of paints and chemicals.
  • Maintain daily reports on progress, manpower, and material consumption.
