Description
Lead the Paint Capacity Planning. Align paint process capacity with production requirements and long-term growth plans, ensuring readiness for volume fluctuations and new product introductions. Drive In-House Process Excellence. Develop and standardize in-house paint processes, including surface preparation, application techniques, and quality control protocols. Oversee day-to-day paint quality performance, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Launch and Manage E-Coat Program. Lead the full lifecycle of the in-house E-coat project: sample preparation, ISO12944 and IEEE standard validation, RFQ development, business case submission, procurement, production readiness, and launch validation. Ensure robust process control and maintenance programs are in place to support long-term E-coat performance. Develop Paint Technology & Knowledge. Provide training across all aspects of paint application, surface preparation, and process control to build internal expertise. Manage Supplier Performance. Monitor and improve supplier paint quality and delivery performance. Lead Transformer Paint Quality Development for EMEA region. Lead initiatives to enhance paint quality for transformer products across the EMEA market, ensuring durability, aesthetics, and compliance with regional standards to provide a competitive advantage. Implement Cost-Down Projects. Identify and execute paint process cost reduction opportunities, including material optimization, automation, and lean initiatives. Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to align paint strategies with broader business goals. Represent the paint function in customer meetings, audits, and technical reviews with clarity and confidence. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial painting, surface treatment, or coatings engineering. Proven experience managing paint programs, launching new technologies, and leading cross-functional teams. Deep knowledge of paint systems, surface preparation standards, and application methods (including E-coat, powder coat, and liquid paint). Familiarity with ISO12944, IEEE standards, and other international paint quality benchmarks. Experience with RFQ preparation, supplier development, and capital project execution. Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process validation methodologies. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and technical documentation tools. Strong leadership presence with a passion for developing people and building technical capability. Skilled in motivating teams and fostering a culture of ownership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Excellent communicator and presenter—able to simplify technical content and build trust with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborative, proactive, and results-driven. Resilient under pressure and decisive in complex situations. Fluency with English language.
