Description Position Summary The Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician is responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and repairing minor dents, dings, and surface imperfections on vehicle exteriors without the use of traditional body shop repair methods. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality repairs in a fast-paced automotive environment. Compensation Pay Range: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour plus incentive opportunities. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Inspect vehicles for dents, dings, hail damage, and other exterior imperfections. · Diagnose repair requirements and determine the most effective paintless dent repair methods. · Perform paintless dent repairs utilizing specialized PDR tools and techniques. · Conduct quality inspections to ensure repairs meet company standards and customer expectations. · Ensure repaired vehicle surfaces maintain a flawless appearance. · Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding repair recommendations and processes. · Collaborate with service advisors, managers, and technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs. · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. · Comply with all company safety policies and procedures. · Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and inventory of tools and materials. Qualifications · High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. · Must be at least 18 years of age. · Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that meets company insurance requirements. · Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. · Minimum one (1) year of paintless dent repair, automotive reconditioning, collision repair, or related experience preferred. · Demonstrated proficiency with PDR tools, equipment, and repair techniques. · Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment. · Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. · Excellent communication and customer service skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles, if required by the position. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is typically performed in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, adhesives, solvents, automotive chemicals, and moving vehicles. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying materials, and using specialized repair tools for extended periods.
