Description
Paint parts and units and/or guide the loading of products on to the paint conveyor. Ensure proper part flow, sequence and quality to meet assembly line and customer requirements. Hang parts and kits on paint line in sequence according to direction from planning and scheduling department. Operate lift and burn-off oven. Set-up, operate, and maintain automatic powder booths and shut down paint line equipment. Checks completed parts to ensure compliance to Worcester Plant Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required to meet quality goals. In this function you will: Perform industrial powder coat painting processes on production materials in accordance with specifications. Thoroughly clean all painting equipment as required to maintain proper working conditions. Make proper hanger and hook selection to hang parts to ensure safe operations. Loads and unloads materials into and out of hook burn-off oven and is trained in operating procedures of the oven. Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary. Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist team in achieving plant and department goals by flexing when needed Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Must be able to pass the Pulmonary Function Test to perform the functions of the job. High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school. Previous experience using industrial wet or powder paint system. Six (6) months of prior industrial manufacturing experience. Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, blueprints, and work orders. Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions. Knowledge of basic shop math, assembly, and configuration. Ability to use measuring tape, hand and power tools or saw. Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items Ability to use powered industrial vehicles (PIV) including pallet jack, high-lifts, and tugger Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive motion including but not limited to lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position Ability to wear required PPE for the role including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective arm and hand coverings.
