Job Description The Palletizer is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and begin growing your career in the glass manufacturing industry. This role will operate strapping machines and automatic palletizers and supplies load-building materials. The Palletizer will: Maintains supply of pallets, tier sheets, shrouds, strapping, and other material required for palletizing and strapping ware. Operates high-lift tractor to transport and store materials and loads. Operates automatic palletizer, and automatic strapping machine, to prepare loads of ware. Unjams strapping machine, removes strap and restraps. Straightens loads, replaces bottles, discards damaged bulking materials, straightens and unjams pallets in hopper. Checks load integrity. Secures and transport resort loads as required. Reports malfunction of equipment to Foreman or other designated employee. Offbears and stacks cartons to load pattern specifications when automatic equipment malfunctions. Applies bar code tickets to production units. Checks for proper printing on carton flaps. Performs good housekeeping duties as assigned. The Palletizer should have: Strong mechanical aptitude Good interpersonal skills Be highly safety conscious Able to work rotation shift Solid attendance record in previous employment Qualifications At least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, with weekend and holiday requirements.
