About the opportunity Albury / Wodonga is nestled on the banks of the Murray River and Hume Weir. Our specialist Palliative Care service consists of a 10 bed inpatient department, and an extensive community service, providing specialist holistic care to NSW residents. Working as a member of the multi disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the clinical care of our palliative patients. We have a supportive team environment where all staff work together to provide quality care to our patients. Mercy Health Albury, Palliative Care Service Fixed term position commencing 2 February 2026 to 29 January 2027 Working 24hrs per week This is a job share position Joining the on-call roster to provide weekend on-call or recall support Links to Werribee Mercy Hospital Palliative Care Specialists, providing specialist support and guidance Perform all assessments, procedures and treatments associated with the speciality of Palliative Care Medicine as per delineated role of the Mercy Health Albury network Provide admitting, consultative and diagnostic services for inpatient and community palliative care services Form an integral part of a multidisciplinary team whilst practising within the core values of Mercy Health Ensure a highly responsive and flexible Palliative Care service to internal and external health care providers. To thrive in this role, you will have: Unconditional registration with AHPRA Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (Palliative Care), Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine Australian citizen or PR status Demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with the contemporary evidence based best practice and demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management Current Medical Indemnity Insurance You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders. Responsibilities

The Palliative Care Physician will be responsible for the clinical care of palliative patients, providing admitting, consultative, and diagnostic services for inpatient and community palliative care services. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a responsive and flexible Palliative Care service.
