SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology (or equivalent qualification)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Panel Beater in an automotive workshop
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques, welding, and metalworking
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and repair specifications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
  • Good communication skills and customer service focus
  • Current and valid driver’s licence

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Nova Smash Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Panel Beater to join our team in East Perth, WA. This is a full-time position responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodies and panels to manufacturer and industry standards. You will play an important role in ensuring safe, high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect vehicles to identify damage and determine repair methods and materials required
  • Remove, repair and replace damaged panels, body parts, and structural components
  • Realign chassis and frames, and fit new or repaired parts
  • Repair dents, scratches, and other surface damage using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Fill depressions, sand, grind and smooth surfaces in preparation for refinishing
  • Weld, rivet, and bolt replacement parts into place
  • Work collaboratively with spray painters and other technicians to complete repair jobs
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
  • Maintain workshop tools, equipment and a clean working environment
