Work Schedules: Schedules will vary based on workload Monday--Thursday: 6:00am -- 3:00pm & Friday: 6am -- Noon VALLEY CABINET Job Title: Panel Saw Machine Operator Work Location: De Pere Location Division/Department: CNC Department Reports To: Department Supervisor Full-time Position Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for operating their assigned machinery. They ensure their machine runs smoothly, works at capacity without issue and is appropriately maintained. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Daily operation of the Panel Saw. * Organize and complete daily work following the schedule. * Set up and operate the machine in accordance to established procedures and guidelines. * Read and interpret production paperwork to select, position, and secure machine. * Manually load and unload plywood sheets to Panel Saw for sizing panel pieces for shop production. * Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely manner. * Careful inspection of the product. * Perform minor routine machine maintenance. * Operate fork lift. (Training provided, as needed). * Housekeeping; sweep and pick up debris over, around, and under machine area. * Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment. * Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment. * Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: * No required education or job experience. * Ability to learn and retain on the job training. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. * Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English. * Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality. * Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following: * Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms. * Stand for extended periods of time. * Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds. * Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity. * Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas. * Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust.
