As a member of the Green Infrastructure Partners, Technical Services team, focused on providing enhanced engineering repaired services and technical field services, as well as solutions in power systems, and controls & automation disciplines.

Responsibilities

As a Panel Technician, you will play a key role within the controls and automation division of our Technical Services team, delivering high-quality technical support to customers through maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning services. Your contributions will be critical in helping maintain and improve automation and control systems.

You will:

  • Assemble and wire industrial control panels according to electrical schematics, layout drawings, and project-specific documentation.
  • Install and configure electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, contactors, terminal blocks, VFDs, and other control devices within enclosures.
  • Perform quality control and functional testing of completed panels, ensuring all components operate correctly and safely before delivery to clients.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to interpret schematics and identify opportunities for improvements or clarifications in documentation.
  • Support troubleshooting and rework efforts for panels that require modifications, repairs, or upgrades during the production process.
  • Ensure adherence to electrical codes and safety standards in all fabrication activities.
  • Prepare enclosures for wiring, including drilling, tapping, labeling, and mounting hardware as required.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations, and assist in tracking inventory levels of wiring supplies, hardware, and tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to enhance panel build efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.
  • Support shipping and documentation activities, including labeling, packing, and preparing panels for delivery to clients.
  • Comply with company health & safety procedures, contributing to a culture of safe work practices.
