Launched in January 2021, the Christabel Pankhurst Institute for Health Technology Research and Innovation (hereafter “the Pankhurst”) has a mission to promote needs-led health technology research and innovation, providing end-to-end support for translation into practice, and acting as an external flagship for the University of Manchester’s rapidly expanding health technology portfolio. The Pankhurst Institute is a unique partnership between the University of Manchester, the NHS, Health Innovation Manchester, Manchester Science Partnerships, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Institute Administrator will play a key supporting role in enabling the smooth running and strategic development of the Institute, working closely with the Institute Director, Institute Officer and Institute Manager. The post holder will support the Institute Director by providing high level diary management, arranging of meetings and events, and the organisation of complex travel on behalf of the Institute Director.
In addition, the post holder will take responsibility for the administrative processes relating to Institute. This includes dealing with estates and building related enquiries and ensuring that financial processes and ordering of goods and services are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
There will also be a requirement to maintain general office procedures and records.
