Position Summary This position is responsible for supporting our Council’s food assistance as well as providing logistical support to the Outreach Center Program team. The Warehouse Associate will contribute to the daily operations of the Neyer Outreach Center’s (NOC) processing center and food pantry, with a primary focus of working in the warehouse, walk-in cooler & walk-in freezer. The role is full-time Monday-Friday. The typical schedule will be 8:00am-4:30pm (with a half hour lunch) This team member must consistently model the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul. Key Responsibilities * Maintain appropriate logs and records of donations. * Organize the warehouse space to ensure safe and efficient storage of items. * Ensure that products are labeled and stored according to food safety guidelines. * Receive, inspect, and sort food and non-food donations. * Work closely with volunteers and other staff to support pantry and warehouse operations. * Work with Pantry and Warehouse Coordinator to support the logistical needs of NOC-based programs and services, including drives and special events, as well as supporting the Council’s Pantry Network * Help prepare outgoing shipments and donations, including working with partners and SVDP Conferences * Processing and receiving deliveries and donations that arrive in the warehouse * Using pallet jacks and/or forklift to move/put away orders. * Stock Shelves, coolers, and freezers in Pantry & Warehouse Required Qualifications * High school diploma or its equivalent required  * Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team  * Flexibility and a willingness to help where needed  * Ability to problem-solve and coordinate resources, including leading volunteers  * Ability to pass a background check  * Must be 18 years of age or older  * Strong Planning and organizational skills   * Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft office products  * Desire to serve our neighbors and carry out the mission of SVDP  * Previous Warehouse experience preferred   * Previous Pallet jack and/or forklift experience preferred   * Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time  * Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift   * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Ability to speak, hear, and engage in effective interaction, both in person and over the phone
