Position Overview The Pantry Attendant maintains clean and well-stocked pantry areas while providing beverage services for meetings. This role ensures that refreshment areas are properly maintained, supplies are available, and a high standard of cleanliness is consistently delivered throughout pantry and meeting spaces. Qualifications Education and Experience Secondary education Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in hospitality or food service Skills and Knowledge Good interpersonal and communication skills Good command of Cantonese Basic spoken English and Putonghua Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation practices Personal Attributes Detail-oriented with focus on cleanliness Service-oriented mindset Reliable and consistent work ethic Ability to work independently Key Responsibilities Pantry and Meeting Room Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of pantry areas Clean and organize meeting rooms after use Ensure all cups, glasses, and utensils are properly washed and sanitized Wipe down countertops, tables, and equipment regularly Dispose of waste and maintain clean waste receptacles Keep pantry equipment and appliances clean and presentable Inventory Management Monitor usage of pantry supplies Replenish items such as coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, and snacks Conduct regular stock taking of pantry items Report when supplies are running low Organize storage areas for pantry supplies Refreshment Services Prepare and support tea and coffee services during meetings Set up refreshment stations for meetings and events Ensure drinking water is available in meeting areas Maintain beverage equipment in good working order Follow proper serving standards and protocols Equipment Monitoring Report any malfunctioning equipment or items in areas of operation Identify maintenance needs for pantry appliances Ensure equipment is used properly and safely Alert supervisors to any safety concerns in pantry areas Additional Duties Assist with special events or functions as needed Handle other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Authority Support workplace services team during busy periods Maintain proper hygiene standards in food preparation areas Working Conditions On-site position requiring movement between pantry areas and meeting rooms Physical work including standing, bending, and lifting light items Regular business hours with potential for occasional event support Exposure to cleaning supplies and hot beverages Reporting Structure Reports to: Workplace Officer/Workplace Coordinator Location: On-site –Hong Kong, SAR, China Job Tags: Transitions Incumbent If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
