A Brief Overview Independently responsible for the overall set-up and updating of Periodic Area Replenishment (PAR) standards throughout assigned areas of the hospital. What You Will Do Primarily responsible for working with the end-users at all levels of the organization to properly structure PAR areas. Troubleshoot and resolve all PAR related issues. Analyze data and make PAR recommendations based upon utilization reports and department metrics. Oversees the pullback and proper handling of any items that have been deleted, recalled or decreased on the PAR standards. Educates end-users as appropriate. Responsible for building and maintaining Excel spreadsheets for tracking purposes and analysis. (Currently handling over 35,000 items). Performs other related duties as required. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education High School Equivalent / GED (Required) Work Experience 5+ years of PAR experience in a healthcare environment (Required) or 2+ years of Supply Chain/PAR experience with Bachelor's degree (Required) Experience with hand held computers and Oracle (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability. (Required proficiency) Notable client service, communication, and relationship building skills. (Required proficiency) Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment. (Required proficiency) Strong written and verbal communication skills. (Required proficiency) Work history must meet or exceed expectations. (Required proficiency) Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. (Required proficiency) Demonstrated ability to use PCs and general office equipment (i.e. printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.). (Required proficiency) Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
