About Crotched Mountain School: Crotched Mountain School (CMS), a program of Seven Hills New Hampshire, hosts innovative special education, recreation, arts, music, and vocational programming for students, aged 5-21, who are on the autism spectrum, and/or have disabilities and other challenges that are better supported in an alternative, least-restrictive environment to their local public school system. Vacation Cash-Out Option 3 Paid Personal Days 11 Paid Holidays Accrued Paid Sick Time Role Overview: As a Paraeducator, you'll support students with disabilities in a structured environment, assisting with behavior management and academic goals. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Ensure a safe and consistent environment for students Enhance instructional strategies with specialized skills Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and behavior plans Assist educators in devising strategies to reinforce skills and positive behaviors Participate in planned activities with students, both on and off campus May include personal care such as toileting, showering, dressing, feeding, etc. Additional Responsibilities: Accompany and assist children throughout daily activities Monitor and collect data on student progress Support students across various school settings Participate in training and meetings Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm Qualifications Must be 21 or older High school diploma or equivalent Bachelors/Associates Degree in a related field preferred but not required Experience with individuals with disabilities (preferred) Physical requirements include (but not limited to) bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting/standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs.
