We provide legal recovery services to a diverse client base that includes major Canadian banks, leasing companies, utilities, and government entities — all of whom rely on ACRM for consistent results in portfolio management, delinquency control, and increased recoveries.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The ideal candidate will hold a valid P1 license in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a licensed paralegal. This is a full-time, in-office position, reporting directly to the Manager of our Legal Division.
You will be responsible for managing Small Claims Court files across all stages — from pre-litigation to enforcement — and must be available to attend in-person court appearances in Toronto, York, and Durham SCC locations. (All travel expenses are covered.)

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid P1 License in good standing (mandatory)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a licensed paralegal
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — ability to draft legal documents and correspond professionally with clients, courts, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, deadlines, and legal processes
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate interest, reconcile balances, and interpret financial data accurately
  • Knowledge and experience with Conditional Sales Contracts and claims management are considered assets
  • Familiarity with court procedures, legal forms, and SCC documentation
  • High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, volume-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
