PARALEGAL APPRENTICESHIP

  • Due to the Apprenticeship qualifying criteria, we are unable to accept applications from candidates that have a higher qualification in the area of law than this Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship.
  • Please note before application that an Apprenticeship is not suitable for candidates looking for part-time work, or work experience during a gap year.
  • The vacancy is for an immediate start so requires candidates to have left school, college or university, as they need to be available immediately.
  • We are unable to consider applications where there is a long commute or if there is a need to relocate.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • 4-9 grades English and maths GCSE’s
  • Viable commute essential
  • Confident with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house systems where training will be given
  • Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

To assist in the roles that make up the work load of the Property litigation department

  • Liaising with and taking instructions from the senior members of the team as may be required.
  • Assisting solicitors within the team with their caseload of property litigation, dealing with all stages of disputes up to and including trial/hearings and bailiff appointments.
  • Liaising with external solicitors, and counsel when required.
  • Dealing with legal queries and enquiries referred by other members of the team.
  • Preparing relevant documentation for trial/hearings including bundles for trial/hearings
  • Frequent liaising with courts including chasing currently active files and for example, court wait times.
  • Understanding and complying with court guidelines (CPR and Practice Directions) alongside dealing with court forms, applications and filing of documents
