PARALEGAL APPRENTICESHIP

Please note before application that an Apprenticeship is not suitable for candidates looking for part-time work, or work experience during a gap year. The vacancy requires candidates that have left school, college or university, as they need to be available immediately. Please consider if the business is a viable commute, as we are unable to consider applications where there is a long commute or if there is a need to relocate. The funding criteria means that we are unable to accept candidates that have a higher qualification such as a LLB.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Due to the Apprenticeship criteria candidates with LLB would not be eligible for this position
  • Local viable commute essential
  • 4-9 grades English and maths GCSE’s
  • Confident with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house systems where training will be given
  • Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
  • Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
  • The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Must be well-presented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

As an apprentice , you will play a key role in supporting our legal team. Your contributions will include:

  • Assisting with Case Management: Organize and manage case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conducting Legal Research: Research case law and statutes to support solicitors in preparing for cases.
  • Drafting Documents: Draft correspondence and legal documents under the guidance of experienced solicitors.
  • Client Interaction: Assist in communicating with clients and preparing for meetings.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Participating in Team Meetings: Contribute fresh perspectives and actively participate in discussions.
  • Continuous Learning: Seek opportunities for learning and professional development.
  • Your proactive attitude and enthusiasm will be essential to our success.
