Job Description ABOUR YOUR ROLE You would be one of two paralegals in the Avery Dennison Asia Pacific Legal Team. Our paralegals support the lawyers in the team as well as our internal clients in contract drafting, contract management, legal research, contract review and the preparation of training decks. They also provide support on compliance matters involving breaches of our Values or policies. The paralegals regularly interact with colleagues in the business teams and other functions in Asia Pacific as well as the legal teams in the US, Europe and Latin America. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE Independently drafting and reviewing contracts. Managing our Contract Intake Process and other compliance databases. Assisting in preparing presentations/training for values and ethics and other legal matters for the lawyers. Managing other existing and new databases, e.g. e-contract filing, law department e-folders, etc. Coordinating the approvals for gift/entertainment policy requests, including ensuring relevant information is collected. Responsibility for coordination and updating of data bases that track incidents that potentially affect the Company’s policies and ethics in collaboration with the lawyers and the Company’s risk management team. Liaising with external translation company to manage translations for business and the Law Department. Qualifications WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU Bachelor degree in law. At least 5 years of experience working in a legal department of an international organization or with a law firm. Quick learner, curiosity as a mindset, willing to go the extra mile. Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills. Possesses ability to work individually and in a group environment. Energy and willingness to take over responsibilities and grow within the organization. Proficiency in writing and speaking both Mandarin and English. Customer-focused attitude, with demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer/client service.
