Description
The Real Estate & Title Paralegal provides comprehensive support to attorneys in the Real Estate Practice Group in connection with commercial real estate and title matters. This role assists with all phases of transactions including due diligence, title and survey review, closing coordination, and post-closing activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing multiple real estate transactions simultaneously. Responsibilities: * Assist attorneys with commercial real estate transactions from initial due diligence through closing and post-closing. * Review title commitments and title documents and assist with identifying issues and exceptions. * Prepare title and survey objection letters and track curative items. * Draft and revise deeds, affidavits, closing statements, and other real estate documents. * Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel. * Order and review surveys, zoning letters, and other due diligence materials. * Maintain transaction checklists and closing calendars. * Prepare closing binders and maintain organized electronic files. * Coordinate execution and recording of documents. * Assist with post-closing matters and document distribution. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: * 3+ years of real estate or title paralegal experience preferred. * Experience in a law firm or title company environment preferred. * Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and closing procedures. * Familiarity with title commitments, policies, and curative processes. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. * Strong communication and client service skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. * Paralegal certificate preferred.
