Description This position provides support and assistance to the General Counsel by reviewing cases, complaints and summons, assisting in all phases of preparation to file litigation/arbitration for independent dispute resolution process, and organizing, reviewing, and handling various legal correspondence. This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 2–3 months Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review cases, complaints and summons and complaints assigned timely and completely. Assist in all phases of preparation to file litigation/arbitration, as required by various state protocols for independent dispute resolution process and other appeals process when necessary. Organize, review and handle various legal correspondence received on a daily basis. Prepare, edit, and proofread documents and correspondence for accuracy, grammar and formatting for all purposes. Be able to work with other departments to prepare or assist with preparing necessary reports for all legal and compliance matters handled in house or to be used and provided to outside counsel. Assisting with day-to-day communications and coordinating responses to inquiries from the Director of Compliance mail Draft briefs, motions and discovery templates required for any and all legal matters including but not limited to Administrative Law Hearings, and Dispute Resolution process. Have the ability to review all mail regarding patient complaints and disseminate to appropriate department or respond accordingly. Ability to investigate patient complaint issues that will require response from either the legal or compliance department.
