Our client is a dynamic and busy multi-disciplinary practice based in Preston, specialising in personal injury, housing disrepair and wider civil litigation claims. They seek a highly motivated and efficient Paralegal to join their growing team. They have been extremely successful in building their litigation teams over the years and built a professional and streamlined infrastructure.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a good telephone manner, with confidence in delivery
  • A good understanding of case management systems
  • Be able to establish priorities and manage deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and relevant practice and business IT systems
  • Highly motivated and pro-active team player
  • Must be able to work in a flexible environment
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Full training will be provided; however, the ideal candidate will have an interest in litigation and at least 6 months experience as a paralegal or legal assistant

  • Assist on a litigated caseload and work on tasks together with the fee earners and solicitors.
  • Preparation and submission of claims to defendants, and ultimately the issuing of enforcement proceedings
  • Draft legal documentation and conduct legal research
  • Draft/edit client correspondence
  • Interview clients and liaise with a variety of 3rd party professionals and stakeholders
  • Maintain high standards of information recording and client care
  • Undertake administrative tasks as required
  • Draft instructions to experts and counse
