Description
Description San Francisco law firm specializing in complex litigation, including prison and jail class actions, employment discrimination, disability rights, and commercial litigation, seeks candidates for a paralegal clerk in-person position. RBGG is committed to creating an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organization and community. We can only maintain excellence by recruiting and retaining a diverse group of attorneys, paralegals, and staff that includes all races, ages, backgrounds including former incarceration, citizenships, national origins, disabilities, gender identities, languages, military experiences, sexual orientations, religions, socioeconomic status, work experiences and historically excluded communities. The salary for this position is $65,000, subject to a raise and promotion to paralegal at the employee’s one year anniversary. The position is eligible for discretionary bonuses, including upon hire, and includes a generous benefits package. Please upload a cover letter, as well as your resume, college transcript, and two references to our hiring platform. Please review our website, www.rbgg.com, and address in your cover letter what makes you a good candidate for this firm. A brief writing test may be administered during our process. Requirements The position requires excellent analytical skills, as well as written and oral communications. The role primarily involves correspondence with our incarcerated clients, and requires visiting our clients in prisons and jails throughout the State of California. Our practice is unusual and requires us to invest in considerable orientation and training. Please do not apply if you cannot make a two-year commitment to the firm. A bachelors’ degree or equivalent, a valid CA driver's license or ability to obtain a license promptly, as well as proof of full vaccination plus booster against Covid-19, are required, subject to requesting an exemption based on medical condition or disability or sincerely held religious belief. Spanish language or ASL fluency strongly preferred and rewarded via $2,000 annual bonus if leveraged in active cases. Experience analyzing and presenting data in MS Excel is also a plus.
