JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our Clinical Negligence team. The ideal candidate will support solicitors and fee earners with legal and administrative tasks, helping ensure the smooth progression of client matters. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role within Clinical Negligence
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
  • Experience with case management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Law degree (LLB), CILEX qualification, or equivalent legal training preferred
  • LPC or SQE (completed or in progress) is advantageous but not essential
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist fee earners in managing caseloads from initial instruction through to completion or resolution
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, and standard forms
  • Conduct legal research and summarise findings
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Organise and maintain case files and legal databases
  • Liaise with clients, third parties, and courts in a professional and timely manner
  • Prepare court bundles and hearing documentation (where applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client care, and risk management policies
  • Accurately record time and assist with billing procedures
  • Attend client meetings or court hearings (as required)
