About Us: Cox Law and Policy operates as a global shared services function within Cox Automotive, offering exceptional legal support across a variety of business divisions. This position is dedicated to supporting the European branch of Cox Automotive, with a particular focus on the Supply Chain, Technology and Data Protection teams.
Your Role: As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in assisting the legal team with delivering strategic and practical support to Cox Automotive Europe’s key businesses. We are seeking an individual who is detail-oriented, proactive, and commercially aware. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with various levels of the organization and external stakeholders, making your contributions both meaningful and impactful.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • An LLB/GDL and LPC or SQE qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least two years of experience in a commercial law department or an in-house legal team.
  • Proven ability to draft legal documents with clarity and precision.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal confidence and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting contracts using templates, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Statements of Work (SoWs), and procurement agreements.
  • Review and analyse contracts providing guidance to stakeholders and ensuring contracts comply with legal standards and company policies.
  • Support the execution and documentation of privacy assessments, including DPIAs, and transfer impact assessments.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and preparing insightful advice notes, particularly on legislative changes and their implications.
  • Developing and maintaining effective legal training materials for internal commercial teams.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather initial instructions and providing timely updates on case progress.
  • Handling administrative tasks efficiently, such as document formatting, proofreading, and coordinating the execution of legal documents.
