The Major Injury and Casualty team at DWF and are currently hiring for a Paralegal to join their Casualty team in Manchester.
The Major Injury and Casualty Team are nationally recognised and one of the largest in the UK. We act for a number of well-known insurer clients and provide high quality advice on a wide range of matters that are of significant value, resulting in an interesting and rewarding set of cases for you to work on.
The team handle a range of files including Employers Liability (EL) / Public Liability (PL) matters, Occupational Health and Disease.
The role is hybrid, and the successful individual will be expected to work 1-2 days per week from the Manchester office.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist more senior team members on a varied defendant Casualty caseload
  • Drafting court documents, attending court hearings, working to court deadlines
  • Conducting liability investigations, gathering evidence, preparing advice to clients, identifying medical experts and preparing instructions
  • Reviewing medical records and other case related documents
  • General day to day administration tasks including keeping the case management system up to date and in line with client service level requirements
  • Providing the highest level of client care at all times to a satisfactory and speedy settlement in accordance with the client requirements
