JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team within the Family Law sector. The successful candidate will provide essential support to lawyers by assisting with various legal tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and organised. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of legal terminology, and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong time management capabilities to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar role.
  • Interest in Family Law

Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparation.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including contracts and briefs.
  • Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and accessible.
  • Communicate with clients and other parties involved in cases to gather information and provide updates.
  • Assist in the preparation for trials by compiling evidence and preparing exhibits.
  • Manage schedules for solicitors, including coordinating meetings and court appearances.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
