Join us and help continue our proud tradition of excellent service to our community Position Summary A Workers’ Compensation Litigation Specialist provides a range of legal support to the Workers’ Compensation Attorney. Salary Range $50,000 - $78,000, depending on experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Processing litigation issues in accordance with the Firm’s policies and procedures Ensuring case management software (CMS) feed is cleared daily Completing all assigned tasks by relevant deadlines Documenting all relevant activity in CMS properly Ensuring emails are cleared daily Working with attorney to accomplish litigation goals and objectives on all assigned cases Meeting with the assigned attorney on a regular basis to review and discuss pending issues in litigation Implementing litigation plans established by the attorney Preparing and submitting Hearings Office evidence packets within specified timelines Returning litigation files to the correct location in the litigation shelves Monitoring the litigation calendar for deadlines and efficiency and bringing issues or concerns to the attention of the appropriate attorney Working with the client to complete and resolve discovery issues Performing other duties as assigned Requirements Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies, current enrollment in an accredited school of law, a Juris Doctorate degree, or equivalent training and experience Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques, legal terminology, and government regulations Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, printer, scanner, computer Maintain a supportive and positive attitude when performing cross-unit work. Perform the work in a timely and efficient manner, following policies and procedures specific to that unit.
