We have exciting opportunities for casual Paralegals to join our Government Public & Regulatory team in Melbourne working with Partner, Katherine Whittemore.

About the team and the work

  • The team acts for a range of Commonwealth clients in one of the largest and most highly regarded Government teams in the country.
  • The team assists with some of the highest profile, sensitive and strategic matters in the country, and working with leading experts in the field.
  • You would be handling a high volume of files, with day to day tasks including compilation of court books, preparing briefs for counsel and tribunal documents, daily correspondence with court, clients and Barristers.
  • You will be an integral part of a high-performing, collegiate and supportive team.

About you

  • Be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week on an ongoing basis
  • In their 2nd year or more of their law degree (applications from students graduating in 2025 or 2026 will not be considered at this time)
  • Have experience in a high-volume litigation practice is preferred but not essential
  • Have strong technical skills in PDF editing and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing deadlines and priorities
  • An excellent communicator (both verbal and written)
  • Have a hard working and positive attitude
