Description Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented litigation paralegal with 2–3 years of litigation experience to join our Binghamton, New York office. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offering a collaborative work environment, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of matters while continuing to develop litigation skills in a professional, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Draft, edit, and format litigation documents under attorney supervision Assist with preparation of pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, and exhibits Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files Track deadlines and maintain attorney calendars to ensure compliance with court schedules and filing requirements Coordinate scheduling of depositions, court appearances, meetings, and closings Prepare documents for filing and assist with state and federal e-filing processes Research court rules and filing requirements as needed Open new matters and maintain accurate case records Respond to internal and external requests for information Provide general litigation support including word processing, time entry, filing, and telephone coverage Provide additional administrative and litigation support as needed Requirements Qualifications 2–3 years of litigation paralegal experience preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Familiarity with court procedures and e-filing systems Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional demeanor and strong client service orientation Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed
