This Paralegal position supports the Labor and Employment Operatives Advice and Litigation (“LEO – A&L”) team. The LEO A&L team handles all legal issues and disputes related to teammates, including pay (wage and hour issues), discrimination, harassment, leave, accommodation of disabilities, labor/union issues, employment agreements, non-competes, and government contractor compliance.
This position may be based in Irvine, CA, El Segundo, CA , or Denver, CO.

Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Supports attorneys in day-to-day tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Maintains electronic database and files for pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other documents regarding various litigation and labor and employment-related matters.
  • Assists with the coordination of document productions and conduct document reviews (including employment records, business records, etc.)
  • Consistent, regular, punctual attendance, as scheduled, is an essential responsibility of this position.
  • Able to work approved overtime with little or no notice as needed;
  • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed or required;
  • Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment practices, and department or company procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task by managing multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Certificate in Paralegal Studies preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of paralegal experience (in-house or government practice preferred).
  • Labor and employment law experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude.
  • Proficiency in MS 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and Teams.
