Job Title: Paralegal
Location: South Manchester (Stretford, Sale, Cheadle, Didsbury, Stockport)
Department: Personal Injury / Clinical Negligence
Reports to: Managing Partner

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our Personal Injury / Clinical Negligence team. The ideal candidate will support solicitors and fee earners with legal and administrative tasks, helping ensure the smooth progression of client matters. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role within Personal Injury and / or Clinical Negligence
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
  • Experience with case management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Law degree (LLB), CILEX qualification, or equivalent legal training preferred
  • LPC or SQE (completed or in progress) is advantageous but not essential
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist fee earners in managing caseloads from initial instruction through to completion or resolution
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, and standard forms
  • Conduct legal research and summarise findings
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Organise and maintain case files and legal databases
  • Liaise with clients, third parties, and courts in a professional and timely manner
  • Prepare court bundles and hearing documentation (where applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client care, and risk management policies
  • Accurately record time and assist with billing procedures
  • Attend client meetings or court hearings (as required)
