This role is for candidates who have worked in established law firms, and who wish to develop their career by being part of a growing team, and helping us to create a new and successful in-house legal practice. Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will spend your time assisting with, among other things, the coordination and delivery of legal advice in relation to EY BBC entities, including but not limited to assisting with supporting EY BBC GCO attorneys in providing: contract advice to Sector and Service Lines, employment and labour advice to Talent, corporate secretarial services, litigation management services, advice to leadership and general operations advice from a legal perspective. Your role will also include legal research, the production of case summaries, advice notes and presentations, as well as the production of legal documents and agreements, preparation of statutory filings, collation and management of documents and assisting with undertaking general research projects for the EY BBC GCO team.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, within a reputable legal practice environment (this need not be in-house).
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly, and keenness to continue developing legal skills and engage in new areas of work and delivery models.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and oral.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships through strategic and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to prioritize quality in service delivery.
  • Project management skills with an ability to plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget and time.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically.
  • Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
