OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal /Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology, particularly in areas such as employment law. This role is essential in supporting in-house attorneys with various tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with legal standards.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a legal administrative role is preferred, with a focus on litigation being a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in legal research techniques and familiarity with tools such as Westlaw.
  • Strong document review skills, with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all submissions.
  • Excellent writing skills, capable of drafting clear and concise legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including briefs, motions, contracts and client follow up.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis Nexis to support case preparation.
  • Review and organize documents for accuracy and relevance, ensuring all necessary information is included.
  • Maintain case files using FileVine/Leda Docket software to ensure efficient document management.
  • Draft correspondence and communicate with clients regarding case updates and requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather information and prepare for hearings or trials.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to immigration and patent law.
