Position Summary
As a Paralegal in our consumer bankruptcy practice, you will provide essential support to attorneys and senior staff while learning the intricacies of bankruptcy law. This position offers excellent growth potential for candidates interested in developing expertise in consumer bankruptcy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions
  • Gather and organize client financial information
  • Help maintain case files and track important deadlines
  • Draft routine correspondence and basic legal documents
  • Communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation
  • Perform legal research under attorney supervision
  • Schedule appointments and maintain attorney calendars
  • File documents with bankruptcy courts

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent education
  • 0-2 years of paralegal experience (bankruptcy experience preferred but not required)
  • Basic understanding of legal procedures and terminology
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
