Job Description
Oakland-based general litigation law firm seeking an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced but informal atmosphere. Paralegal will conduct legal research and writing assignments, draft declarations and prepare discovery documents.
Wong & Associates is a boutique law firm providing legal representation to SF Bay Area communities (primarily to the Chinese-American community) for over 45 years in a wide range of practice areas from personal injury, civil disputes, family law, landlord-tenant, estate planning, criminal defense to business and real estate litigation.
Our ideal candidate would have excellent research and writing skills, effective oral skills, and an aptitude for litigation. Prior experience is not required and fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred. Candidates MUST be authorized to work in the United States.
Qualifications
· Authorized to work in the United States
· College degree or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent;
· Excellent organizational skills, good problem-solving traits;
· Excellent research and writing skills;
· Strong communication, interpersonal skills and detail-oriented;
· 2 years of law office experience a plus;
· Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus
