If you’re looking for a chance to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment whilst developing your experience with contract management and legal documentation, this is the role for you!
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team on a fixed term basis, covering a period of maternity leave. In this role, you will support the Director of Legal and assist in managing contracts and legal processes for the organisation.
Ideally, you will have worked as a Paralegal previously and have experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.

IVCC was incorporated in 2008 and is hosted by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Our program of work is supported by a wide range of funders including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, FCDO, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), USAID and DFAT (Australian Government).
IVCC partners with third party organisations (industry and academic) to support the development of new vector control products in the fight against malaria, in order to save lives and increase prosperity for some of the poorest communities in the world, which is the vision IVCC strives for

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Support:
  • Assist with the preparation, review, negotiation, and execution of various contracts, including Industry Contracts, Product Development Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and more.
  • Manage the IVCC contract repository in SharePoint and ensure all contracts are stored, organized, and updated.
  • Oversee the contract signature process using Adobe Sign, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Legal to identify, amend, and use appropriate templates for project-specific contracts.
  • Maintain clear communication and monitor the progress of contract requests, ensuring timely responses and updates.
  • General Legal Support:
  • Provide legal support to the Director of Legal and assist with company secretarial duties and governance-related matters.
  • Manage internal legal processes, including contract requests and document management, ensuring everything is handled promptly.
  • Assist in information governance and the development of IVCC’s information governance action plan.
  • Administrative and Operational Excellence:
  • Help ensure the legal department’s SharePoint area remains well-organized and up-to-date.
  • Maintain confidentiality and work with discretion at all times.
  • Stay updated on legal changes and developments, ensuring the team remains compliant and informed.
