SUMMARY The Paralegal is a legal assistant to assist General Counsel, Office Manager, Program Director, Medical Director, and Recovering Professional Coordinators with day to day duties and program functions, operations, and monitoring services of the South Carolina Recovering Professionalism, organization, and time management in their interaction with staff, our participants, our partners, referral sources, and the various licensing boards with whom they interact. They must be able to adhere to confidentiality. Must be able to analyze, review, and organize participant files. Will serve as the primary contact with LLR liaison.  Position Logistics * 37.5 hour work week * Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Provide direct assistance to Special Counsel, Office Manager, Recovering Professionals Coordinators, Program Director, and Medical Director as needed. * Assist in reviewing, editing documents for board hearings, Quality Assurance Committee, Internal Review Committee (IRC), and employers. * Assist the General Counsel and Office Manager with file redactions and records requests. * Responsible for requesting, receiving, uploading Order of Evaluations, Temporary Suspension Orders, Memorandum of Agreements, Board Orders, and Evaluation Orders in the case of management system. * Responsible for coordinating board hearings with assigned Recovering Professional Coordinators and the direct point of contact with the LLR liaison. * Assist Office Manager with IRC documentation and the Recovering Professional Coordinators with Quality Assurance documentation as well as ensuring the findings are in the file and communicated to the appropriate participants and staff. * Collaborates with agencies involved in the monitoring and provision of services for recovering professionals. * Assist with communication with attorneys. * Must be familiar with or able to adhere to confidentiality; 42 CFR part 2 MARGINAL DUTIES: * Attends all required meetings and training sessions. * Other duties as assigned.
