MTY is looking for a Paralegal who is a self-driven, organized, multi-tasker that can assist the company with a variety of business needs centered around drafting legal documentation. As a valued member of the Legal team, you would be the key liaison for preparing and drafting various legal documents, such as, franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements and for ensuring that applicable laws and company policies are respected. You will be working closely with the Legal team as well as the Operations and Development teams to obtain the information and documentation required to prepare various documents.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Enthusiastic, optimistic, and service-minded team player.
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
· Proofreading skills.
· Ability to multi-task while paying great attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Fluency in both English and French (written and verbal) is required. At least 75% of the work and documentation is in English.
· Candidates with contractual terms implementation, or some other form of maintaining an ongoing set of key deadlines along with customer satisfaction/customer service relations experience is considered an asset.
No experience in the field is required since the candidate will be trained by the employer to perform all tasks. The position is ideal for any paralegal wishing to discover or perfect their knowledge in a stimulating and very interesting field of law or a student in paralegal studies looking for an internship and permanent position.

The majority of our clients and a large proportion of our employees are outside Quebec.

Schedule:

Responsibilities

· Prepare franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements.
· Gather the information required to draft legal documentation.
· Ensure the information, documents and requests received comply with company policies and applicable laws.
· Act as an intermediary for smooth communication between internal departments.
