Responsibilities

JOB ROLE

An exciting vacancy has arisen at our Leeds City Centre office for a Commercial Property Paralegal or Conveyancing Assistant.
The role involves assisting supporting solicitors and fee earners with a wide range of commercial property matters from file opening to completion.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience in either commercial property or residential property and be able to work accurately and efficiently, while delivering high standards of client care with the hope that they will take on more responsibility and variety of work as their knowledge and experience increases.

KEY TASKS

  • Dealing with matters at all stages, from taking the client’s initial instructions through to archiving, under supervision and in accordance with office and accounts procedures.
  • Liaising with clients and other parties on behalf of fee earners and dealing with enquiries as appropriate.
  • Providing administrative support to other fee earners, solicitors and partners.
  • Obtaining and preparing file documentation.
  • Billing files and obtaining monies due to the firm from clients and other parties.
  • Liaising with the Accounts department to produce cheques, pay disbursements etc.
  • Filing, photocopying, collating of documents and other administrative duties.
  • Maintaining legal knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving office procedures.
  • Any other duties which from time to time are required by the firm.
