By joining one of these teams, you’ll influence the future of PKF, while enjoying the support, training and opportunities you need to succeed both personally and professionally.ResponsibilitiesAn experienced Paralegal to join an in-house Legal and Risk team, focusing on all aspects of legal support to the General Counsel with an opportunity to be involved in enterprise risk management particularly Legal Risk. The successful candidate will support the General Counsel in all aspects of the legal function and take an independent role in reviewing contracts, letters of engagement, NDAs, and other legal documents. This role requires a commercial approach and a good understanding of contract, data protection, AML and governance. The candidate must be willing to learn the standards, regulations, and best practices applicable to the UK audit and accounting sector and be adaptable to support the General Counsel in a fast-paced, diverse, and growing internal function.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview and draft contracts, letters of engagement, NDAs, and other legal documents.Provide legal support and advice to various departments within the company.Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in the areas of contract law and data protection.Assist the General Counsel in managing legal risks and developing legal strategies.Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the company.Support the General Counsel in various legal projects and initiatives.Person SpecificationSkills, Experience and QualificationsProven experience, and track record of working autonomously where appropriate, as a Paralegal, preferably in an audit and accounting firm or a similar environment (although this is not critical).Strong understanding of contract law and data protection regulations.Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.Commercial approach to legal issues.Ability to work independently and take initiative.Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to learn, expand your knowledge and adapt to new standards, regulations, and best practices in the UK audit and accounting sector.#LI-SR1
