Description
We’re looking for bold, entrepreneurial talent ready to help build something extraordinary — and reshape the future of building products distribution. QXO is a publicly traded company founded by Brad Jacobs with the goal of building the market-leading company in the building products distribution industry. On April 30, 2025, QXO completed its first acquisition: Beacon Building Products, a leading distributor in the sector. We are building a customer-focused, tech-enabled, and innovation-driven business that will scale rapidly through accretive M&A, organic growth, and greenfield expansion. Our strategy is rooted in delivering exceptional customer experiences, improving operational efficiency, and leveraging data, digital tools, and AI to modernize a historically under-digitized industry. What you'll do: The Paralegal role will support the Legal Department in managing litigation and dispute matters, commercial contracts, and supporting aspects of legal operations projects. This role is responsible for maintaining matter files, coordinating with outside counsel and internal stakeholders, supporting discovery and information governance processes, and helping the team operate efficiently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities Support litigation and dispute matters by maintaining matter files, tracking key dates and deadlines, and coordinating with outside counsel and internal stakeholders. Assist with legal holds, document preservation, and information collection in coordination with IT and business teams. Prepare and organize routine litigation documentation (e.g., subpoenas, notices, correspondence) and coordinate service, filings, and records retrieval as needed. Maintain litigation calendars, docketing, and reporting; prepare periodic matter status summaries for the Legal team. Support employment-related matters, including the internal whistleblower program, intake and tracking of claims, agency charges (e.g., EEOC/state agencies), settlement documentation, and separation agreements. Assist with internal investigations by organizing evidence, building chronologies, scheduling interviews/meetings, and supporting attorney workstreams. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing commercial contracts including NDAs, vendor agreements, and service agreements; coordinate approvals and signature workflows. Support contract lifecycle management, including maintaining a contract repository and tracking renewals, amendments, and key obligations. Support compliance and policy initiatives, including drafting/updating templates, maintaining training/compliance records, and preparing internal communications. Assist with insurance documentation, claims coordination, and risk management processes. Support the team’s legal operations director in continuous improvement of legal operations, document management systems, and workflow efficiencies. What you'll bring: Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred. 5+ years of paralegal experience supporting litigation/dispute matters and general in-house legal work (in-house and/or law firm experience). Working knowledge of litigation procedures, docketing, and discovery/e-discovery concepts. Experience supporting employment-related matters (e.g., investigations, agency charges, personnel file documentation) preferred. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications In-house Legal Department experience supporting a range of matters (litigation, employment, commercial contracting). Experience with e-discovery and/or legal technology tools (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Logikcull) and e-billing platforms. Experience managing outside counsel workstreams, including invoices, budgets, and status reporting. Experience in a high-growth or acquisition-driven organization.
