WE’RE LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME, IN-OFFICE REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL IN THE LEGAL INDUSTRY BASED IN EDMONTON.

The Real Estate Paralegal will be an integral part of the real estate team, supporting a variety of residential and commercial transactions from file opening to closing.

Real Estate Paralegal responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end coordination of residential and commercial real estate files, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is accurate
  • Draft and process legal documents related to purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinancing, including trust letters and client reports
  • Accurately prepare financial statements such as statements of adjustments and disbursements
  • Oversee funds transfers and ensure all financial aspects of closings are handled efficiently
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client files, track key dates, and manage follow-up actions
  • Prepare professional correspondence and client accounts using conveyancing and document management software
  • Serve as the main point of contact to ensure smooth transaction flow
  • Contribute to strong client service by building positive relationships and ensuring responsiveness throughout the file lifecycle

The successful candidate has:

  • A post-secondary diploma or certificate from a recognized paralegal or legal assistant program
  • Experience with conveyancing is a must have
  • A proactive and resourceful mindset with the ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience as well as with document management systems. Experience with Net Doc, Aderant and ADP would be an asset.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and strong interpersonal communication
