COMMUNICATION

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal departments seeking legal support;
  • Assist in responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding legal and contractual matters;

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Preference for candidates with a law degree or partial completion working towards completion.
  • Demonstrated understanding of governance, risk and compliance in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data protection and privacy, including Australian privacy laws and GDPR compliance.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in stakeholder management and engagement.
  • Ability to initiate and recommend changes to business processes and techniques, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to solve issues through discussion, negotiation, and teamwork.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

JOB ROLE

The Paralegal role provides critical support to the legal team and across the business generally and requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and organised person to assist with legal research, document preparation, contract review, and general administrative support.
This role reports to the General Counsel and collaborates closely with key stakeholders across business units and corporate functions in Seeing Machines.
