LPA, a mid-sized professional and general liability defense firm with a strong statewide presence, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our team. This role will primarily support one attorney handling automobile insurance defense matters. The position offers flexibility to work out of our Cleveland or Canfield office. Job Summary The Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal support to assigned attorneys, assisting with trial preparation, document management, discovery drafting and review, legal research, and client communications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is comfortable managing multiple tasks with precision. Requirements Key Responsibilities Review and manage File & Serve Express for case updates and trial schedules Draft and respond to discovery requests and pleadings Maintain asbestos litigation databases Summarize medical records and deposition transcripts Prepare trial notebooks and exhibits Conduct legal, non-legal, and medical research Coordinate with clients, co-counsel, experts, and vendors Prepare authorizations, subpoenas, and electronic court filings Attend meetings and depositions as needed Assist with settlement preparation, including Robinson v. Bates calculations Qualifications Paralegal Certificate or Associate’s Degree required Prior experience in litigation support or insurance defense preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in legal research and document management systems Ability to work independently and collaboratively Ready to bring your legal expertise to a respected Ohio law firm?
