Description:
- Permanent part time role (3 days per week) while you study

The Law Society of New South Wales works with and for the legal profession. We hold responsibility as a co-regulator and are Australia’s largest membership body for Solicitors. Our Legal Regulation department has an opportunity to join the team as a Paralegal 3 days per week.
Please note this is not a short-term paralegal position and will require commitment for a minimum of 2 years.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will provide legal support to the Legal Officers of the Investigations, Litigation and External Intervention teams within the Legal Regulation Department in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Providing legal assistance and support to the Legal Officers in areas such as investigation, litigation, external intervention, and cost recovery.
- Carrying out legal research and document or evidentiary review as requested by the Legal Officers
- Classification, organisation and management of files, records, documents and evidence for litigation or external interventions
- Drafting precedent based legal documents under the supervision of Legal Officers of Professional Standards.
- Provide support in managing reporting systems for key functions, such as external Investigations, intervention, cost recovery and litigation.
- Providing support to the Director, and Deputy Directors as required.
