    We are currently looking for a Paralegal to join our Litigation team. This is a full time permanent role (35 hours per week), but part time will also be considered (either 2 or 3 days), and is ideal for a law student. Located in Martin Place in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Paralegal provides legal and administrative support and conducts research in a timely, efficient and professional manner to assist Investigations Solicitors and Litigation Solicitors within PS-LRD.
You may be assigned to either the Investigations Unit or the Litigation and External Intervention Unit and may be rotated as required between the Units according to workloads.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Providing legal assistance and support to the Investigations Solicitors and Litigation Solicitors within PS-LRD in areas such as:
  • complaints investigation;
  • disclosure and compliance monitoring;
  • litigation;
  • external intervention; and/or
  • costs recovery
  • Conducting legal research and document and evidence review as requested by the Investigations Solicitors or Litigation Solicitors of PS-LRD
  • Classification, organisation and management of files, records, documents and evidence for investigations, litigation, external intervention or costs recovery
  • Drafting precedent-based legal documents under the supervision of Investigations Solicitors or Litigation Solicitors of PS-LRD
  • Draft correspondence, reports, litigation documents, submissions and other documents under supervision
  • Providing support in managing reporting systems for key functions, such as investigations, compliance monitoring, litigation, external intervention, and costs recovery
  • Providing support to the Director and Deputy Directors as required.
