Job Advert Description

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Based in Abu Dhabi, the new recruit will advise clients on a diverse range of local company commercial matters within the UAE including Free Zones and help review commercial contracts.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Deletion of assistance on complex DD.
  • Advising on a wide range of company secretarial matters.
  • Advising on the incorporation of entities within the UAE.
  • Assisting on drafting commercial agreements.
  • Assisting on drafting and amending memorandum and articles of association.
  • Advising on employment law.
  • Assisting on preparation and delivery of data privacy advice.

The new recruit will also be responsible for:

  • Building, maintaining and developing client relationships.
  • Pro-active participation in marketing initiatives.
  • Participating in firm-wide and departmental training sessions.
  • Assisting with training and development of junior legal staff.

The firm has a Career Development Framework which sets out the competencies we expect of those at this grade. In particular for this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Directly relevant paralegal experience gained at a recognised and busy corporate practice from an international law firm.
  • Experience gained within the Middle East would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Law degree/ law conversion and LPC/SQE holder.
  • Commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Drive and enthusiasm.
  • Can do, hardworking and flexible approach.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Strong drafting, research and organisational skills.
  • Interacts well with people at all levels.
  • An interest and substantive experience in data privacy advice is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Excellent academic record
