Description Veritas-HHS seeks a IV-D Child Support Paralegal to work at the 30th Judicial District Child Support Services of TN office located in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will support our attorneys in all aspects of IV-D child support matters and related proceedings in Tennessee courts. This role requires a thorough understanding of Tennessee child support statutes, guidelines, and court procedures. Primary Responsibilities: Case Management & Legal Support Assist attorneys in managing child support dockets Draft, proofread, and file legal documents including petitions, amended petitions, motions, orders, and correspondence Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms on Tennessee and intergovernmental child support matters Prepare and e-file documents through Tennessee state court systems Monitor court deadlines, docketing, and statutes of limitations Communicate with court clerks, opposing counsel offices, and other third parties Draft child support calculations using the Tennessee Child Support Guidelines (Worksheet A/B) Handle court runs as needed Requirements Education: Associate's or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, or a paralegal certificate from an AHA-approved program Experience: Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience in family law or child support preferred; Tennessee-specific experience strongly preferred Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with case management software; familiarity with Tennessee e-filing systems (knowledge with TCSES or Vasion a plus but not required) Knowledge: Working knowledge of Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) Title 36 (Domestic Relations) and the Tennessee Child Support Guidelines; familiarity with local court rules Must have a valid state driver’s license Core Competencies: Strong written and verbal communication skills High degree of professionalism and client empathy Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the position. Responsibilities
